Taking someone down....

Take You Down by Chris Brown...

My song of the summer. I love this song! Seriously, I know the song is not deep and has no real meaning, but I just like listening to this song. Chris Breezy, you had a hit!
I've listened to this song mad times during this summer, it‘s ridiculous. Maybe it’s the slow “sexy” beat. It has to be that, because in all honesty, I don't know what taking someone down is. No clue at all.

The thing that kinda disturbs me about this record is that Chris Brown is like 17. I mean, not literally, but he’s one of those artists that never grew up. Like Bow Wow will always be “lil’” to me, but maybe that’s just me. But anyway I think I would more comfortable actually putting this on my “Special Playlist*” if the song was sung by someone like Trey Songz, J. Holiday, or just someone grown.
*For those who don't know, that "special playlist" I was refering to is that lists of songs that one would put on when their man/girl comes over to chill; it sets the "mood"*

My favorite part of Take You Down is the bridge---
Actual lyrics: “I want you freaking, oh baby/like a pro baby/&I bet that you…”
What me & Mo-Nast heard: “Freak me, oh baby like an old lady & I want some juice…”
Seriously, he realy sounded like he said that...I think he has a mild lisp. I like my version better.

Now the video…I can’t really relate to like that. It reminded me of some Usher jumpoff circa 1997, when the My Way album came out. There was this part that Chris looked kinda right, but then I think again…he’s mad young looking…

Until next time…watch some old Usher concerts, so you know what I mean.
