Generations...

Looking back in music history, there is always another group/person to take the place of someone else in the past...

Prime examples:
Supremes (1959-1977) and Diana Ross (1959-present)
Destiny's Child (1990-2006ish) and Beyonce (1990-present)

Dru Hill was the Jodeci of my generation.
I think people in my age group missed the true Jodeci movement. We love some Jodeci and can relate, but I think we identify more with Dru Hill. As a true Dru Hill fan, I must admit there would not have been a Dru Hill without the influence of Jodeci and there would be no Jodeci without the influence of Bobby Womack & groups like Guy and The Temptations.

The relationship of Chris Brown & Rhianna is not for my generation...
CB and Rhianna are the new age Jay-Z and Beyonce.

I think Chris Brown, himself is an Usher-type.

Ne-Yo is the new age Babyface.
Babyface.
Baby-Face...I don't think he has a face like a baby. Whatever.

At the moment I cannot think of anymore comparasions, but I'm sure there are plenty more. I wonder what the future brings...

Until next time...I'm gonna leave y'all with some Babyface. Throwback...
